Background

Techserve have dealt with Audio Tech Direct for many years since the company moved to a new business premises and needed help setting up their IT infrastructure. We have since seen the business grow and have supported them every step of the way.

Solution

After carrying out a site survey and discovering there was no internet access to the new premises the first decision was to plan how to best achieve this. On site at an additional premises already owned by the company it was found there was already a suitable fibre broadband connection in use. The decision was made to run the required data cabling through an underground duct to the new premises. Once this was done the new office was setup including the installation and configuration of various switches, Wi-Fi access points, desktop computers and printers.

Background

HJR Agri has been a customer of Techserve for many years, provided all aspects of their IT support. HJR Agri has a client / server application that needed upgrading and engaged with us to discuss the options of replacing their aging Windows XP Computers.

Solution

The solution was that all existing Windows XP computers would be replaced with all new custom-built Windows 10 computers running the latest security and Microsoft Office applications. Onsite setup was also arranged which consisted of setting up internet, network, email, and shared printer access along with data transfer from all existing systems.

Background

RSPB has been a customer of Techserve since 2019 having worked on a number of projects together one of the latest been a network infrastructure and CCTV installation project at one of their farm branches. We were asked to provide a solution to gain internet and telephone access to a newly installed cabin along with a CCTV solution for the farm.

Solution

After carrying out a site survey telephone and internet access was identified in the form of a telephone line and ADSL broadband coming into the mess room situated across the farm yard from the new cabin. After discussing the options with the customer overhead cabling or a Wi-Fi PtP installation was not a viable option in this case due to the layout of the buildings and the large farm machinery that would be crossing the path of such an installation on a daily basis. The decision was made to run the required data, telephone and CCTV cabling from the mess room through an underground duct to the new cabin. A Wi-Fi AP with built in switch and network points on the walls were then installed in the cabin along with a telephone point and Hikvision IP CCTV system. The CCTV cameras were then installed on the farm buildings on the opposite side of the yard.

Background

Spar has been a IT support customer of Techserve since 2020. We were when approached to discuss the options of replacing their aging CCTV System. The analogue system was running out of storage space and the camera wiring was starting to fail causing some of the cameras to lose signal.

Solution

After carrying out a site survey a solution was agreed to replace the existing analogue CCTV system with an all-new Hikvision IP system providing increased storage space, upgraded cameras and the ability to view the cameras remotely via a smart phone, tablet or computer when not on site. Part of the onsite setup included running cabling and configuring the NVR, switches, and cameras.

Background

Trebor Jones & Son switched their IT Support to Techserve in 2018 and we have supported them in all aspects of their IT from this time. Discussions started about the options available for replacing their aging Windows 7 computers; one of these was set up as a Sage server with Sage backups starting to fail due to insufficient disc space.

Solution

The agreed solution was all existing Windows 7 computers would be replaced with all new custom built Windows 10 computers running the latest security, Sage and Microsoft Office applications. Onsite setup was also agreed which consisted of setting up internet, network and email access along with Sage, shared printer setup and data transfer from all existing systems.
